When looking for a realtor it's important to recognize that not all realtors offer the same quality service. In fact, there can be a substantial difference between the quality of Regina real estate agents, and yet both high-quality and poor realtors stay in business. The reason is, most people don't take the time it takes to choose a good realtor. They know neither the signs of a subpar realtor, nor the mark of an excellent one.

- They take time to get to know you. A good Regina real estate agent will take the time to understand what you're looking for in a realtor, what your ideal price is, how you'd like your home represented. Basically, a good realtor will get to know you, understand your needs, and negotiate their relationship with you on the bases that you dictate.
-They know how to market your home. What is a realtor if not a mediator between you and the open market. Someone whose job it is to professionally market homes, and get top dollar for them in an efficient amount of time. So how can they do this? With their marketing skills.
A good realtor, therefore, will be a marketing expert. They'll have a system of marketing in place that will have your home posted in the most important listings within a few days of taking your listing.
- They have work ethic. This seems like something you would take for granted, but it's important. There are ways that a realtor will demonstrate their unwillingness to work. One of these ways is by shirking most of the work of your listing off to an assistant, or someone who is not a trained or registered realtor. Make sure whoever you hire, they're doing the work you've hired them to do.
- They're not shy about giving you references. A high-quality real estate agent will have high-quality references, and will be proud of the work they've done in the past. Be wary of someone who is not forthcoming with a portfolio of past work.
